This policy explains how InnerWeek collects, uses, and stores your information when you use the app.

What we collect
If you create an account, we collect your email address. We also process journal entries, social-energy check-ins, interaction details you choose to enter, completion dates, reminder preferences, and generated reflections. Guest data and reminder schedules are stored locally on your device.
How we use it
We use this data only to operate your account, sync entries, generate reflections you request, show writing statistics, send reminders you enable, prevent abuse, and diagnose technical failures.
AI processing
Daily reflection cues are generated on your device. When you explicitly request a weekly reflection, the relevant journal entries are sent through our server to Google Gemini. We do not send your email address or account ID in the AI prompt. AI output may be imperfect and is not medical advice.
Service providers
We use Better Auth and MongoDB for account and app data, Google Gemini for requested journal reflection generation, and Sentry for limited crash diagnostics. Calendar titles stay on your device; only normalized timing and interaction type may be sent for a forecast. Sentry session replay and default personally identifiable information collection are disabled.
Storage and security
On-device app data is encrypted with a key kept in the operating system's secure storage. Synced content is encrypted in transit and protected by account-level access controls at rest. It is not end-to-end encrypted. We retain account data while your account is active and remove associated app data when you delete the account, except where retention is legally required.
Your choices
You can disable reminders, sign out, or permanently delete your account and associated journal data from Settings. You may also contact support to request access, correction, or deletion assistance.
No advertising or sale
We do not sell journal content, use it for targeted advertising, or allow AI providers to receive your account identity through reflection prompts.
